The Best Lima Food Tour

Lima, Peru is not only the political Capitol of Peru but also the gastronomical hub of the nation. With a rich history dating back to Spanish colonialism, a vast amount of growing climates and food influenced by Chinese immigrants, Lima has an interesting blend of delightful dishes that are sure to please every palate.

During my short stay in Lima before heading to hike the Cordillera Huayhuash, I booked two tours: a free walking tour of downtown Lima and a scrumptious walking food tour in the trendy Barranco neighborhood.

The food tour included such treats as: fresh fruit, ceviche, corn juice, Pisco sour,  chicken empanada, lucuma ice cream, lomo saltaldo & Inca Cola.
