Munich is a phenomenal city to visit and drink some beer during the Christmas Markets or Oktoberfest but there is more in the surrounding region to explore in a Do It Yourself fashion. With train access from 50 minutes to 2 & 1/2 hours away, there is something for any lover of nature, beer, history, and architecture.
