Lebanon is one of my favorite countries visited but it didn’t start out that way. I initially scheduled a 5-day visit to Beirut in 2016 as a stop-over on my way to Jordan. I was hesitant to trust anyone, travel outside of Beirut or really do any partying the first two days because of media and the opinion of other’s but once I put my smart traveller hat on and took the western goggles off, I quickly made friends and fell in love with this amazing place which I have now visited two more times for a total of 5 weeks spent traversing the landscape from Beirut to Tripoli, across the Cedar forests, and into the Bekaa Valley.
Lebanon is a country filled with diversity crammed into a tiny coastal nation and I suggest it to anyone who is looking to expand their understand and appreciation for the Middle East. You can party until dawn here, visit religious ceremonies, ski or yacht… there is something for everyone. Bonus: the food is delicious!
This post is nowhere near as informative as I would like to be but until I make the time to share all the treasures of Lebanon I have created an awesome Best of Beirut guide for you to reference if heading to the Paris of the Middle East!
As always, feel free to contact me to get additional details!
