I have had the great honor to explore and guide in Yellowstone since 2014 and with each visit, I have finessed my stops to come up with the ultimate one day guide along the lower loop of the park. Below you will find a guide with suggested stop times and a video showcasing the beauty of the area.
In the video you will witness several of the 10,000 thermal features in the park, a river on fire, two magnificent waterfalls, places to dine, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone (for which the park gets its name), animals jams caused by one of the bison herds living within the park and the magnificent Yellowstone Lake.

Yellowstone Shopping Guide

One of my favorite, non-nature activities in the parks is the shopping at the General Stores! There are so many magical treasures and humorous gifts available to take back as an “I love me” gift or for someone back home. Below are a few of my favorites that you can pick up when visiting Yellowstone or order online!

Amusing and made from 100% authentic bison dung! This is one gift that is sure to surprise and create a few laughs!

Huckleberry is a small, blueberry-like fruit that grows at higher elevations. The berries used to make this jam have been harvested by hand and make a yummy spread for your morning toast!

This is a great guide for the park that not only explains best places to hike at each of the stops but touches on the science behind the thermal features you see, the regrowth of the lodgepole pines after a fire and the re-introduction of wolves into the park.
